Description

The W3v3 series uses several technologies originally developed for JL Audio’s flagship W7 series. Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) optimises motor performance across the driver’s entire range of excursion and power. The aim is to ensure accurate and linear cone movement, low distortion, and clean, detailed bass reproduction.

The cone is made of injection-moulded mineral-filled polypropylene and is surrounded by a rubber surround. This construction combines rigidity and durability, and is designed to maintain controlled bass reproduction during longer listening sessions at higher volume.

Elevated Frame Cooling™ technology helps direct heat away from the voice coil area, improving cooling and power handling. W3v3 series drivers are optimised for compact subwoofer enclosures and are suitable for both sealed and ported enclosure solutions.

The 8W3v3-4 is an 8-inch model with a single 4 Ω voice coil, with the official product code 010-03036-00. Thanks to its compact size, it is a good choice for a car audio system where quality, powerful bass is wanted without a large subwoofer enclosure.
