It also has an optical and a coaxial digital input and an optical digital output, allowing various connection solutions in modern car Hi-Fi systems.

The TwK-88 offers extensive sound tuning options together with the JL Audio TüN software, which is used on a computer via a USB connection. The DSP allows adjustment of the equaliser, channel levels, signal routing, filter operation and time delay (Time Alignment) to achieve a precise stereo image and optimal tonal balance in the vehicle cabin.

The unit has a total of 80 equaliser bands, flexible channel mixing and adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters for different speakers and subwoofers. The included DRC-200 digital remote control allows you to change the volume, select settings and control various functions directly from the vehicle cabin.

The JL Audio TwK-88 is suitable for use in complex car Hi-Fi systems that use separate amplifiers, active speaker setups, or where you want to improve the quality of the factory audio system. Precise digital signal processing allows a more detailed, better balanced and more controlled soundstage.

Output channels: 8

Analogue outputs: 8 × RCA

Digital output: optical (Toslink / S-PDIF)

Equaliser:

80 EQ bands in total

10-band EQ per channel

Audio formats:

24-bit / 48 kHz

Crossover:

adjustable high-pass and low-pass filters

filter slopes 6–48 dB/oct

Time Alignment (time delay)

Channel mixing and routing

Software: JL Audio TüN computer software via USB

Remote control: DRC-200 digital remote control included

Electrical specifications

Supply voltage: 10–16 V DC

Power supply: regulated DC-DC SMPS

Operating current: 0.7 A

Standby current consumption: less than 1.5 mA

Recommended fuse: 1 A

Input signal range: 250 mV – 7.1 V RMS

Minimum input signal: 10 mV RMS

Signal-to-noise ratio: 98 dB

THD+N: 0.02% (20 Hz – 20 kHz)

Output impedance: 450 Ω

Dimensions

Width: 109 mm

Height: 47 mm

Depth: 156 mm

Weight: 1.17 kg

The JL Audio TwK-88 is a professional digital signal processor (DSP) designed for precise tuning of car Hi-Fi systems and maximising sound quality.
