JL Audio uses its DMA technology to model the driver&#8217;s motor, suspension and cone, aiming to reduce distortion, improve transient reproduction and achieve higher-quality, more controlled sound. The cone is made of mineral-filled polypropylene.<\/p>\n<p>In the 3-way design, two high-frequency drivers are positioned in the centre of the woofer\/midrange driver: a 1-inch (25 mm) and a 0.75-inch (19 mm) aluminium dome tweeter. The edge-driven aluminium dome tweeters use a silk suspension and are designed to deliver clear high-frequency reproduction. A 2nd-order high-pass filter is also integrated into the coaxial system to protect the tweeters.<\/p>\n<p>The moderate mounting depth and small tweeter protrusion of the C1-690tx help the speakers fit into many factory speaker locations and behind factory grilles.
