SGM Air M2 Prime vibration damping material
11,20 €
SGM Air M2 Prime is a lightweight vibration damping material designed to reduce vibration and the resulting noise in car body parts. Its low weight makes it particularly suitable for areas where good vibration damping is wanted without adding excessive weight to the structure. SGM’s current Prime Air technology uses a reduced-mass butyl rubber compound and aluminium foil.

Description
To achieve a lightweight construction, SGM uses special hollow microsphere technology. For the manufacturer’s current Prime Air material, this allows weight to be reduced by up to 30% compared with conventional vibration damping materials, while retaining the material’s vibration damping properties.
The material is well suited for treating car doors, roof and bonnet – precisely the areas where reducing additional weight is important. The vibration damping material is installed directly on the car’s metal surface, and its purpose is to reduce panel vibration and low-frequency noise travelling through the structure.
SGM Prime Air series material is moisture-resistant and designed for use in a car environment with large temperature fluctuations. The material does not require heating during installation.
