Description

Dynamic Motor Analysis (DMA) technology is used to optimise the behaviour of the motor, suspension and cone across the driver’s entire operating range. This makes it possible to achieve long, linear excursion and maintain controlled sound reproduction even at higher power levels. The one-way linear excursion Xmax is 19 mm.

The cone is made of injection-moulded mineral-filled polypropylene and is surrounded by a rubber surround. OverRoll™ Surround technology makes use of the outer rim area of the speaker frame, allowing greater excursion without reducing the effective cone area. The rigid cast-alloy frame helps maintain structural stability even under heavy load.

Elevated Frame Cooling™ and Pole-Vent Airflow Control technologies improve voice coil cooling by directing airflow to the motor and voice coil area. This helps reduce operating temperature and improve power handling and reliability. In addition, FCAM™ construction and the Engineered Lead-Wire System are used.

The subwoofer uses two 4 Ω voice coils and a dedicated Terminal Jumper System connection system. The voice coils can be connected in parallel for a 2 Ω load or in series for an 8 Ω load. Continuous power handling is 600 W RMS and the manufacturer’s recommended amplifier power is 200–600 W RMS. The driver is suitable for use in both sealed and ported enclosures.
