Description

The woofer/midrange drivers use JL Audio’s DMA-optimised design. Motor, suspension and cone modelling reduce distortion, improve transient reproduction and deliver a controlled, high-quality sound. A well-damped cone and suspension help avoid harshness in the upper midrange and ensure a smooth transition to the tweeter.

High frequencies are handled by a 0.75-inch silk dome tweeter mounted in the centre of the woofer/midrange driver. Its compact design reduces the tweeter’s protrusion, so in many cases the speakers fit behind the car’s original grilles. The silk dome provides smooth and clean high-frequency reproduction both on-axis and off-axis.

Installation is made easier by multiple mounting hole patterns and the compact design. This makes the speakers a good choice for replacing factory speakers when you want better detail, stronger mid-bass and a more balanced sound presentation.

The 6.5-inch model has a continuous power handling of 60 W RMS, a sensitivity of 91 dB and a frequency response of 59 Hz – 22 kHz. Nominal impedance is 4 Ω.
