Description

Inside the enclosure is a single 10-inch TW1 subwoofer driver. Its DMA-optimised design uses JL Audio’s motor, suspension and cone modelling to provide long linear excursion, low distortion and powerful bass reproduction. The Concentric Tube Suspension™ design allows the motor to be positioned higher inside the cone, reducing the overall depth of the driver without sacrificing the required mechanical excursion.

The Tab-Ear Frame Design is also used, which reduces the overall dimensions of the driver and helps achieve a very compact installation. The Engineered Lead-Wire System is designed so that the connection wires move in a controlled and quiet manner even at large driver excursion.

The enclosure uses JL Audio’s flared slot-port design. The smoothly shaped port is intended to reduce air turbulence at the port mouth and thereby reduce the audible air-flow noise typical of ported enclosures. The enclosure is made of MDF and uses CNC-machined V-Groove construction, which allows precise panel joints.

With 300 W RMS continuous power handling and a nominal impedance of 2 Ω, the system is suitable for use with a 75–300 W RMS amplifier. The low-profile enclosure measures 530 × 337 × 162 mm and weighs 11.66 kg, so strong bass reproduction can be achieved in a relatively small space.
