JL Audio XD600/1v2 1-channel amplifier

Description

The amplifier uses JL Audio’s NexD™ ultra-fast Class D switching technology. Its design aims to achieve high efficiency and strong output power in a compact enclosure while reducing power consumption and heat generation.

At a 14.4 V supply voltage, the XD600/1v2 delivers 400 W RMS into a 4 Ω load, 500 W RMS at 3 Ω and 600 W RMS at 2 Ω. This allows the amplifier to be combined with different subwoofers according to the desired impedance and power. The manufacturer’s official amplifier setup guide confirms the model’s output levels for 4, 3 and 2 Ω loads respectively.

The built-in active low-pass filter allows the subwoofer’s operating range to be matched precisely to the rest of the sound system. The amplifier also has an infrasonic filter, which helps limit very low frequencies. This is especially useful with an inverted-enclosure subwoofer, where excessively low frequencies can cause excessive driver movement.

The amplifier is also well suited to upgrading a factory sound system. The differential balanced input design helps reduce unwanted noise, and the auto turn-on options make integration into various car sound systems easier.

The compact aluminium enclosure allows the unit to be installed in places with limited space. The manufacturer recommends a 50 A fuse for the XD600/1v2.
