JL Audio 10W1v3-2 10″ subwoofer 2 Ω

Description

The subwoofer uses JL Audio’s DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis) optimised motor system. DMA helps ensure linear motor force over a wide range of cone excursion and power, resulting in accurate, clean and controlled bass with a low level of distortion.

The 10W1v3-2 cone is made of injection-moulded black mica-filled polypropylene and is surrounded by a rubber surround. The design is intended to deliver strong and accurate bass reproduction and durability even during prolonged listening at higher volumes. The aluminium dust cap is finished with the JL Audio logo.

JL Audio Elevated Frame Cooling™ technology directs high-velocity air straight to the area of the voice coil’s top plate, improving cooling, power handling and reliability. In addition, FCAM™ technology, a Vented Reinforcement Collar design and a specially developed lead-wire system are used.

The 10W1v3-2 requires a mounting depth of only 117 mm, and the compact motor allows the subwoofer to be used in space-saving installations. For the 10-inch W1v3 model, the manufacturer recommends an amplifier of 75–300 W RMS. The speaker can be used in both sealed and ported enclosures.
