The JL Audio MX500/1 is a compact single-channel full-range amplifier designed for marine and powersports applications and other demanding installations. The amplifier combines high output power with small dimensions and a durable construction, making it well suited to boats, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and other systems with limited installation space. The manufacturer defines the MX500/1 as a 500 W monoblock full-range amplifier.

Description
The MX500/1 uses JL Audio NexD™ Class D amplification technology, which delivers high efficiency and high output power in a compact enclosure. Lower heat generation and current draw are especially important in installations where electrical system capacity and installation space are limited.
The single-channel design allows the amplifier to be used, for example, to power a subwoofer or in other applications that require a powerful mono output. Full-range operation allows the MX500/1 to be used over a wider frequency range, not only as a traditional bass amplifier.
The amplifier is designed for use in demanding environmental conditions. The MX series is part of JL Audio’s range of durable marine and powersports amplifiers, and the MX500/1 uses the same chassis size as the MX500/4 and MX600/3. JL Audio’s official installation document confirms that the MX500/1 belongs to this MX amplifier chassis group.
The MX500/1 is well suited to systems that call for a compact, efficient, high-power single-channel amplifier and where the equipment is subject to higher-than-usual requirements for environmental resistance and installation flexibility.
