JL Audio XD600/6v2 6-channel amplifier

Description

The amplifier uses JL Audio’s NexD™ ultra-fast Class D switching technology, which allows high output power in a compact enclosure. Thanks to its efficient design, less heat is generated and the load on the vehicle’s electrical system is reduced.

With six channels, at a 14.4 V supply voltage the amplifier delivers 75 W RMS per channel into a 4 Ω load or 100 W RMS per channel into a 2 Ω load. If needed, channels can be bridged, achieving up to 3 × 200 W RMS at 4 Ω. This gives plenty of options when installing to build different speaker systems.

The inputs are differential-balanced RCA inputs, and the input sensitivity can be adjusted for different sources. The v2 Spec features also include automatic turn-on via signal or DC-offset detection, which makes the amplifier suitable for integration with factory audio systems as well.

All three channel pairs have adjustable active filters. The filters can be used in high-pass or low-pass mode, and the crossover frequency can be adjusted between 50 and 500 Hz. The filters can be switched off if required. The optional HD-RLC remote control can also be used with the amplifier.

Despite having six amplification channels, the enclosure measures only 260 × 180 × 52 mm. The compact design makes the unit suitable for installations where space is limited but a powerful multi-channel audio system is wanted.
