JL Audio C1-570x 5×7″ oval speakers

Description

The woofer/midrange driver uses JL Audio’s DMA-optimised design. The manufacturer uses motor, suspension and cone modelling to reduce distortion, improve transient reproduction and achieve clean, high-quality sound. The cone is made of mineral-filled polypropylene.

High frequencies are handled by a 0.75-inch (19 mm) edge-driven aluminium dome tweeter with a silk suspension. This design is intended to achieve clear and detailed high-frequency reproduction. A second-order high-pass filter is integrated into the coaxial system to protect the tweeter.

With a continuous power handling of 50 W RMS and a sensitivity of 90.5 dB, the speakers are well suited both to upgrading a factory audio system and to a setup with a separate amplifier. The manufacturer’s recommended amplifier power is 10–75 W RMS per channel, and the nominal impedance is 4 Ω.
